Republican Senate Candidate Has Disgustingly Sexist Reason Why He Believes He’s Behind in the Polls

Normally I would give some kind of elaborate introduction into a story, but I’ll let this jackass speak for himself. Republican Senate candidate Jeff Bell, who’s challenging Senator Cory Booker in New Jersey, has quite the disgusting theory as to why he’s getting his butt kicked in recent poll numbers.

“I’ve done a lot of thinking about this and looked at a lot of different polls, I think it has more to do with the rise in single women,” Bell said. “Single mothers particularly are automatically Democratic because of the benefits. They need benefits to survive, and so that kind of weds them to the Democratic Party.”

“But single women who have never married and don’t have children are also that way,” he continued. “If you take married women, they aren’t that different from married men. So it’s really a problem with the decline in marriage rates. The Democrats do benefit from that.”

Yes, that’s a Republican Senate candidate saying that he’s losing to Cory Booker simply because single mothers are just lazy moochers who rely on help from the government. But it’s really not just single mothers, single women in general are just latched on to the Democratic party because they want handouts. Basically, unless you’re a married woman, he thinks you’re nothing more than someone who’s out voting for Democrats because you’re too lazy to get out there and work to take care of yourself.

It’s almost impossible to even begin to explain his ignorance because it’s that outrageous.

I guess it never occurred to this clown that maybe the reason why women vote for Democrats is because they fight for things like equality for women and the right for women to have control over their own bodies. You know, issues that women kinda, sorta care about.

Or that Senator Booker is just very popular among New Jersey voters.

Though after hearing comments such as these, which aren’t all that uncommon from Republicans, it still blows my mind that any women vote for Republicans. Heck, it shocks me anyone but wealthy, straight, white Christian males vote for Republicans, considering that’s about the only demographic Republicans actually represent. And the saddest part of these comments might be the fact that a lot of Republicans probably agree with Bell. Even if many Republicans currently in office don’t have the guts to say it.

But I think it’s safe to say that this November, Senator Booker isn’t in any danger of losing his seat to this scumbag, as long as New Jersey actually votes in good numbers.
