Gay St. Patrick's Day Float Crashes Boston's Parade Despite Anti-Gay Policy

Amid controversy surrounding the anti-gay St. Patrick's Day parades in New York City and Boston, a group of gay activists stealthily invaded the Boston parade with a pro-gay float.

The Boston Globe reports that a float bearing a rainbow cannon infiltrated the Boston St. Patrick's Day parade with a group of 30 marchers, the majority of whom were gay men. The marchers themselves reportedly brought roughly 500 pairs of green and rainbow color beads that were tossed to spectators in the crowd.

The truck pulling the float with the rainbow cannon reportedly bore a banner that read “Celebrate the diversity of Boston,” with the group having described itself as a "diversity float" through the parade's application process. Full story here via Huffington Post!

St. Patrick's Day Parade Organizers Reject Application of LGBT Group (Again)

Organizers of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in South Boston have refused to allow the LGBT group MassEquality to participate in the 2014 parade, reports Boston.com.

MassEquality was notified their application had been rejected via an after-hours voicemail left by the parade organizers who cited the 1995 US Supreme Court decision in Hurley v. Irish-American Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Group of Boston, as the reason they are legally able to legally able to exclude LGBT groups from participating. In that ruling, the Supreme Court granted John J. Hurley – the previous organizer of the parade – the right to deny any group from participating if it presented a message that was contrary to the one the private organization wished to express.

However, the parade organizers later clarified to the Boston Globe that they do not ban LGBT people from the parade, only LGBT demonstrations.

“We don’t know who’s gay in the parade, and we don’t ban gay people. We ban gay
demonstrations, people that are sending out the wrong messages, messages that we don’t agree with,” parade organizer Philip Wuschke told the Boston Globe. “It’s not that type of parade. They have their own parade. Ours is a day of celebration, not demonstration.” Full story here via the Advocate!

BOSTON: Archdiocese Official Busted With Prostitute Behind Church Cemetery

Boston Archdiocese Monsignor Arthur Coyle has been arrested after offering to pay a female prostitute $40 for a blowjob behind the Holy Trinity Polish Cemetery in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Coyle, 62, of Lowell was arraigned this morning in Lowell District Court. Bail was set at $500 cash, and he was slated to return to court Sept. 16 for a pretrial conference, said Middlesex district attorney’s spokeswoman Stephanie Guyotte. In a statement released this afternoon, the archdiocese said Coyle had voluntarily taken a leave of absence from his post as episcopal vicar for the Merrimack Region, a post he has held since 2008. “While on administrative leave, Msgr. Coyle is prohibited from performing any public ministry,’’ the archdiocese said in the statement. “These restrictions will remain in place pending the outcome of the case. The steps taken today do not represent a determination of Msgr. Coyle’s guilt or innocence as it pertains to these charges.’’ The statement concluded with the sentence, “The Archdiocese asks for prayers for all impacted by this matter.’’
Police say that Coyle had been seen cruising a known prostitution area more than a dozen times in the past. During his arrest, Coyle reportedly told the police that he didn't even get the blowjob. Pity. A press release from the Archdiocese stresses that Coyle was arrested for sexual misconduct "involving an adult."

When did these hypocrites get the moral authority to condemn anyone?

That's Union Strong!

Teamsters Block Westboro Baptist Church From Protesting Boston Marathon Victims Funeral

"The Westboro Baptist Church vowed to protest today’s funeral of Boston Marathon Bombing victim Krystle Campbell, so hundreds of members of the Teamsters Union showed up to protect mourners and block the Westboro members from the sight of Campbell’s friends and family.

Meanwhile, hundreds more were across the street, among them more than 200 union members, organized by Teamsters Local 25, to form a human shield against a protest that never materialized from the Westboro Baptist Church.

The union members began gathering before 8 a.m. today, promising to block protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church if they picketed.

“It’s the right thing to do,” O’Brien said of the decision to protect the funeral. “The family deserves a peaceful grieving process that’s free from any coward-led group.” Full story here!

Video of the Capture of the Boston Bomber

From AmericaBlog.com:

It’s an amazing video, filmed with a normal camera, infrared, and night vision (I think).
I’m not going to touch up the pictures in photoshop, though they could use it, since I want you tos see exactly what the police themselves saw.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, this is Suspect 2:
sub1_500
First a normal shot. You can clearly see the boat:
regular-shot
Then an infrared shot, I’m pretty sure, of the boat and the backyard – you can see that the boat is covered with a tarp – he’s inside:
Infrared shot, I'm pretty sure.
Infrared shot, I’m pretty sure.
Then an infrared of either a robot, or a police vehicle with an arm, peeling the tarp off of the boat – at the top, in the boat, you can see the heat signature of Suspect 2 laying down.

The cops throw in a flash-bang stun grenade, after the tarp is removed:
flash-bang-goes-off
Suspect 2 just laying there, though you can see his hand moving slightly – the round ball at the top is his head.  Clearly the guy was majorly injured and not going anywhere.  If they hadn’t found him that night, I wonder if he’d have survived.

And here’s the whole video (h/t Towleroad):
