This Filmmaker Will Send You A Nude Selfie If You Donate To His Kickstarter Campaign

Romas Zabarauskas
Lithuanian filmmaker Romas Zabarauskas certainly knows the way to a gay man’s heart: he’s offering naked photos to anyone who donates to his Kickstarter. Well, okay, if you insist!

He apparently also knows that gay men are cheapskates when it comes to porn, because for only $1 you can get his “racy photo shoot.”

The project is called You Can’t Escape Lithuania, and it appears to be a semi-autobiographical mostly-fictional artsy-craftsy hipster story about two young people on a dangerous road trip. Lithuania isn’t exactly a safe place for queers: like Russia, lawmakers have been instituting increasingly homophobic laws to punish and imprison gays. It’s not a fun place.

Those elements will probably pop up in Romas’ new film.

His previous works, Porno Melodrama and We Will Riot, combined sex and politics too, and played at various international film festivals. He used Kickstarter for his earlier work as well, but this might be the raciest of his projects. “The more money you will send me, the more of my body you will see,” he says in his pitch video. Donors over $50 will get a signed naked photo if they hit their $20,000 target.

Other rewards: temporary tattoos, digital downloads, a t-shirt — you know, the usual Kickstarter stuff. That’s all well and good, but we came for flesh.

Steve Grand Brought to Tears as Kickstarter Ends

Last night Steve's Kickstarter campaign coming to an end he made a video to tearfully thank everyone. He started with a $81,000 goal to solely fund the production of his new album "All-American Boy" but ended the night with $326,593. The additional funds according to Steve will be used for promotion. Congratulations to Steve (who still is the subject of the highest visited post on this blog), and thank you to everyone who supported him.

Steve Grand releases new video and launches Kickstarter campaign to fund album

Keep the music/message pure. Be my "label" and help fund my first record, "All-American Boy" - The Album.
It’s been an amazing journey since I released “All-American Boy” on YouTube last July. I made the video using my own money (and maxing out my credit card)—independently and without a label or management. Without any money left to do promotion of any kind, I uploaded the video to YouTube and clicked "Share" on Facebook. Thanks to all of YOU who shared the videos with your friends and on social media, the video went viral almost overnight, landing me spots on major news outlets like “Good Morning America,” CNN and major print publications. We now have over 2.75 million views!
With your help, we released a second video, “STAY.” I got to meet amazing people like Elton John, Mariah Carey, and Edie Windsor. And best of all, I got to meet so many of YOU, my beloved GrandFam, as I toured around the country. I got to hear your amazing stories. Your hopes and fears. Your triumphs and heartaches. And how in some small way, my music made you feel a little less lonely in the world.
Connecting with those of you who have reached out to me through social media and those of you I've been fortunate enough to meet in person (and hug) has been the most amazing part of all of this! It is those of you who have inspired me to keep going: to continue to express my experiences, reflections, and feelings through music and videos and art.

Gay Marriage Documentary Seeks Funding On Kickstarter

Where All The Stories Are LOVE Stories
Where All The Stories are LOVE Stories, a feature-length documentary by photographer and filmmaker D'Arcy Benincosa, hopes to tell the story of the progress of marriage equality across the U.S. as inequality is overturned state by state.

The project is an ambitious undertaking, so Benincosa has gotten a Kickstarter campaign going with a fundraising goal of $50k by February 15th. As of this writing, the campaign has raised just over $5000.

Boy vs. Wild

A real life story of a boy by himself in the wilderness with nothing but his knife and camera gear. His goal is to make it out alive.

My name is Cameron James Petersen, and I am a 16 year old boy living in the Pacific Northwest (Parents made this kickstarter for legal issues). I've been around the world to many different countries, and along the way I gained a love for the outdoors. Since there is no way for me to be on any survival shows being only 16 years old, I have decided to create my own. I'm planning on going into the wild with nothing but my camera gear, and basic survival knife. I will have emergency gear and backup supplies in case anything does go wrong! This may be one of the most interesting kickstarters yet! You can count on watching me eating horrific foods, creating shelter, building fire, and surviving in the wilderness alone! You may even learn a thing or two. Now I am coming to kickstarter for the sole reason of sharing this adventure with the public. I can easily go off in the woods at any time, but in order to share my adventure with the rest of the world, I will need the gear to do so. Thats why I need YOU to help me fund this project so I can get the best gear available! The more money I raise, the more freaking awesome this project will be! For instance, I really have no easy way to get to my planned starting location besides driving to the nearest road and simply starting from there. If I raise enough money, I will be able to charter a helicopter to drop me off at my planned location. I am no ameature videographer, I have made many videos of our family vacations and also have recorded various other survival trips.
