Prince Harry: I might experiment with gay men if my relationship doesn’t work out

Prince Harry has said he might try relationships with men if he “changes his mind” about women, while on a night out with his current girlfriend.

Harry and his girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, were taking a night out together at The Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill on Friday, when Harry was slipped the phone number of Vincenzo Ianniello.

He reportedly accepted the number happily, and promised to call Mr Ianniello if he changed his mind about dating women.

Mr Ianniello later tweeted about the exchange: “I gave Prince Harry my number tonight, he promised he’ll call me if he changes his mind about women. Or men. #epicwin”

Queen Orders Prince Harry to Shave His Beard

Prince Harry has been ordered by the Queen to (“sooner rather than later”) shave the bushy polar beard he grew while on his charity trek in Antarctica, the Express reports:

He returned to Britain just in time for the festive celebrations at Sandringham but although his brother William and sister-in-law Kate said they loved his “Windsor whiskers” his grandmother was apparently not amused.

Harry has said beards are a royal tradition and told a well-wisher watching his family walk to church on Christmas morning that he intended to keep his. “The rest of the family liked it and were taking the mickey, especially his cousin Zara who dubbed him ‘Prince Hairy’,” said a royal insider.

“But the Queen soon let her displeasure be known. She doesn’t mind royal men growing beards when they are away in the Armed Forces or out in the wilds like Harry was in the Antarctic, but she expects them to be clean-shaven when they get home.

Prince Harry Reaches South Pole After 200-Mile Trek for Charity

After three weeks of pulling 150-pound sleds, UK's Prince Harry reached the South Pole with his trekking team as part of a charity expedition.

Harry was involved with the three-week-long Walking With the Wounded South Pole Allied Challenge, a charity event during which teams of wounded servicemen were supposed to race against each other. The challenge aimed to show support for wounded soldiers and raise awareness of their strength, but the competitive element was cancelled due to harsh conditions, which organizers thought would place unnecessary strain on the participants.

Harry joined four injured British servicemen on one team; another included four wounded U.S. soldiers; the third and final team was comprised of Australians and Canadians. They arrived at the South Pole at 12:00 GMT on Friday and planted flags to celebrate their achievement, as the video above shows.

"Our aim was to show that, despite injury, young men and women from our armed forces can still achieve great things," said Ed Parker, the expedition's director, according to the BBC. "

We came down here, determined to get 12 men and women, all injured in conflict, to the South Pole, and this is what we have done.

The feeling is incredible."

The challenge was organized to show the public that soldiers wounded in combat are still capable of great achievements. Some of the participants have lost limbs fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq; Walking With the Wounded raises funds for injured veterans and helps them return to normalcy after war and find new careers.

The teams' arrival at the South Pole marked the end of their 200-miles trek across Antarctica in minus 31 degrees Fahrenheit, made even colder by high winds. 

Prince Harry, who also joined Walking With The Wounded's charity trek in the North Pole in 2011, became the first member of the British royal family to ever reach the South Pole.

Prince Harry is "irritated" by the reluctance of some countries to assist financially with clearing landmines in countries like Angola, one of his charities has revealed.

The Prince is following in the footsteps of his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, by taking up the cause of clearing landmines from African countries scarred by years of conflict.

HALO Trust chief executive Guy Willoughby told Sky News that Harry has been frustrated by the lack of progress on the issue in some areas.

He said: "The Prince has got quite a bee in his bonnet about it, and that's good.

"He is irritated that the countries which supplied these landmines are not actually putting in any funds to clear them, 25 years on."

Harry travelled to Angola last week to see mine clearance projects run by The HALO Trust. The 28-year old is Patron of the Trust's 25th Anniversary Appeal.

 During the visit, the Prince met de-mining teams and toured minefields in the Angolan town of Cuito Cuanavale, the most heavily mined town in Africa.

"People love having Prince Harry here because he's so engaged and because he's technically minded. He just gets it, from what the de-miners are trying to do, to the latest technology", added Mr Willoughby.

Diana, Princess of Wales, made a controversial visit to Angola in support of The HALO Trust in the months before she died in 1997.

She called for an international ban on landmines and was accused of being a "loose cannon", meddling in politics. Asked whether the Prince will court similar criticism should he take on the countries who he believes are falling short of their obligations, Mr Willoughby said: "I don't know. Whether by nailing his colours to the mast he court the same criticism as his mother did, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Mr Willoughby said: "The commitment shown by Prince Harry plays an invaluable role in helping us to raise awareness of HALO's work and mission. "Wars may be over but many people are still unable to resume their normal lives, facing the threat of death or injury by landmines every day."

A gay soldier told last night how Prince Harry bravely rescued him from a terrifying homophobic attack by squaddies from a rival regiment.
The Prince stepped in to save Trooper James Wharton after he was confronted by six soldiers threatening to ‘batter’ him.

Trooper Wharton fled to find Harry – who was his tank commander – and tearfully told the Prince what had happened.
‘I told him, “I think I’m going to be murdered by the infantry.” I climbed into the turret and talked Harry through exactly what had happened. He had a complete look of bewilderment on his face.
‘I couldn’t stop the tears from welling up in my eyes. He said, “Right I’m going to sort this s*** out once and for all.”
'He climbed out of the tank and I poked my head out of  the turret a few moments later to see him having a go,’ Wharton said.
Harry, a Troop Commander in the Blues and Royals, confronted the tormentors, warning them they would face severe discipline if they continued their violent threats.
‘I could see he wasn’t holding back,’ said Wharton, who was 21 at the time.
After taking on the gang, Harry briefed a senior officer before returning to assure Wharton the situation had been ‘sorted’.
The soldier, who quit the Army earlier this year, said: ‘I will always be grateful to Harry and I will never forget what happened. Until he went over and dealt with everything I was on track for a battering.’
The remarkable incident reinforces the view of Harry as an officer with unfailing commitment to the troops under his command.
The confrontation came on a training exercise in Canada in September 2008 and is detailed in a book Wharton has written about his ten-year military career, Out In The Army – exclusive extracts from which appear in today’s Mail on Sunday.

Wharton’s book offers the most unvarnished insight yet into Harry’s life as a soldier.
The two shared several weeks together in their tank and became firm friends, even swapping details of each other’s sex lives. Harry revealed details of his ‘first time’.
Wharton, who served in Iraq, also told how Harry said he and Prince William considered themselves to be gay icons.
He said: ‘We were on manoeuvres and talking over the intercom.
‘Harry happened to mention that he and his brother had been told they were gay icons. I laughed and told him that I didn’t think that was the case. He became really adamant saying, “What? What? We are! Our press people told us.”
‘Harry then asked if he couldn’t be a gay icon because he was ginger. It was all very funny.’
Last night, the Ministry of Defence and Buckingham Palace both declined to comment.
