A planned march to “take over Congress and Impeach President Obama” which was to be held during the week of September 9th, at the Capital, did not go quite as planned. The “March on DC, September 9, 2013” was to be a week long hostage taking event. Here’s the brief overview from the group’s page:
“March On Washington D.C. September 9th 2013. We are NOT going to ask congress to Impeach Obama And HIS Administration, We ARE going to DEMAND it! B-O HAS TO GO!”
The group’s Facebook page,
which has been promoting this “major event” (specifically designed for
fanatics, racists and extremists) even offered a detailed schedule for
each day’s activities.
Here’s a rundown of what was supposed to be on the agenda:
September 9th, the first day of the event, was to be the
day when the group would demand the “Right for a Redress of Grievances.”
This redress was to be properly done, “INSIDE the Capitol Hill
building”, as opposed to just a protest outside on the sidewalk. Group
leaders were to be selected. What’s more, once inside the Capital, the
group’s page promised that the whole event would be televised . Yes, all
of America would see it.
Event planners added that once they had taken the Capital by storm:
“Congressmen of both Houses” were “expected to be sitting in their seats LISTENING TO US WHEN WE HAVE THE FLOOR.”
The agenda for the second day, September 10th was fairly
simple. The group would force the House and Senate to impeach the
president by the end of the day. They would also force the Senate, by
the end of the day, to pass the group’s Anti-Bribery Amendment (but only
by a ¾ majority).
The third day, September 11th seemed like it would have been rather boring. The day’s schedule pretty much looks like a repeat of the September 10th agenda, with one extra Amendment added in.
a. The House must complete a 3/4th vote to pass OUR Anti-Bribery Amendment. b. The House must complete a 3/4th vote to pass OUR American Equality Amendment. c. The Senate must start Impeachment proceedings.
For September 12th, the fourth day, the plan seems to have been to force Congress to give up their coveted vacation time.
a. Once these actions are done to our satisfaction by Congress, Congress will hear from each and every one of us, and address our complaints with the high regard and dignity due us. They will work through the weekend, and every day thereafter until we are all heard.”
While it seems ever so unlikely that such an intelligent and well
thought out plan could possibly fail, there was a contingency plan, just
in case… The group’s facebook page claimed that the militia would be on
“standby.”
Not that the organizers had any intention of engaging in violence,
that would be the responsibility of everyone else who attended.
“Since our politicians will NOT want to do these things without the threat of dire consequences, we MUST do this ourselves. That is YOUR JOB.”
Notice how quick the pronouns change from “we must do this” to “that is YOUR job?”
While it all sounds exciting and totally plausible, here are some of
the actual reports that have come from around the Capital, relating to
the march:
If it wasn’t so sad, it would funny as hell. – AHT.
Who am I kidding? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! –AHT.
