Bryan Fischer: Torture Is A Christian Value

Conservatives have been falling all over themselves claiming that torture is perfectly constitutional and has value as an interrogation method. And now Bryan Fischer has declared torture a “Christian principle.” During his radio program on Thursday, American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer echoed conservatives such as Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia by insisting that torture isn’t prohibited by the Constitution and claimed that the Geneva Convention doesn’t protect terrorist suspects against the barbaric methods. Of course, it’s very clear that the Eighth Amendment prohibits torture as the Founding Fathers made their intention very clear during debate on the amendment in Congress in 1791. But Fischer made another claim that should outrage true Christians everywhere. Fischer stated that terrorists deserve to be tortured because the American people value Christian principles.
“They have absolutely no legal rights that they can claim anywhere. So whatever treatment we give them, if there is any mercy involved in it, they have no right to that; that is simply because we are a merciful people who are driven by Christian principles.”
Here’s the video via Right Wing Watch.

This is absolutely twisted. This is how far conservative “Christians” have sunk in their desperate effort to continue torture as an interrogation method in America. Torture is not a Christian value. It’s not an American value. And it should be forever banned. Those who used it and authorized it should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Torture is an evil. It’s very unlikely that Jesus would find a reason to justify torturing another human being, no matter what they have done. Conservatives are sick if they actually believe torture is a Christian value. They’re not Christians, they’re monsters who should be condemned by the highest religious power in the land. Oh, that’s right. Pope Francis already did that earlier this year.

Bryan Fischer: 'The Mark of The Beast Today Is The Rainbow Flag'

Right-wing-nut and radio talk show host Bryan Fischer has a lot to say about a recent decision from the Kentucky Human Rights Commission which found that a Lexington-based printing company violated that city's fairness ordinance by refusing to print Pride t-shirts for a gay and lesbian group back in 2012. According to Fischer, this incident, along with others where Christians have been penalized or scrutinized for allowing their personally-held anti-gay views to spill over into their business practices, prove that "the Mark of the Beast today is the rainbow flag." From Right Wing Watch:

Tshirt
Businesses like [the t-shirt printers in Lexington] are now "not allowed to engage in commerce because they would not take the Mark of the Beast on their hands or on their foreheads," Fischer said. "They would not allow the Beast to dictate to them what they did with regard to the homosexual agenda, what they did or what they thought."

Saying that the owners of this company are literally being turned into slaves by not being allowed to discriminate against gay customers, Fischer declared that they have now been forced to "take the Mark of the Beast on their hand, they've got to make the t-shirts that they gay lobby says you have got to make, and they have to take the Mark of the Beast on their foreheads, even the way they think has to be realigned with what is politically correct."

American Family Association: Obama Is Protecting Satan Worshippers In Iraq

Brian Tashman writes at Right Wing Watch:
American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer is outraged that the U.S. is intervening in Iraq to stop ISIS, who has been attacking Christians and other Muslims throughout the country. Fischer believes that President Obama only intervened to stop the extermination of the Yazidis, who practice an ancient religion yet are considered by ISIS fighters and others to be “devil worshipers.” He began today’s edition of “Focal Point” by railing against Obama, saying the president only decided to launch airstrikes in Iraq in order to defend “devil worshipers.” “They go after devil worshipers and all of the sudden the entire weight of the United States government is sent in there to relieve them and to avenge them,” he said. “Those are the Yazidis.”

Wingnut Bryan Fischer Accuses Obama Of Using MH17 Tragedy To 'Normalize Homosexuality'

Wingnut Bryan Fischer has accused Barack Obama of using the MH17 tragedy to “advocate for the normalization of sexual deviancy,” reports On Top Magazine.

Bryan fischer tweet
Referring to those on MH17 who were on their way to the AIDS 2014 conference in Australia, Obama said:

“In this world today, we shouldn't forget that in the midst of conflict and killing, there are people like these. People who are focused on what can be built, rather than what can be destroyed. People who are focused on how they can help people they've never met…[the United States] is going to continue to stand for the basic principle that people have a right to live as they choose, that nations have the right to determine their own destiny, and that when terrible events like this occur, the international community stands on the side of justice and on the side of truth.”
However Fischer, head of hate group the American Family Association, told his Focal Point radio listeners that the president was using the tragedy “to advance the normalization, the legitimization, of homosexuality. President Obama politicizes this event to turn it into an opportunity to advocate for the normalization of sexual deviancy.”

Me thinks someone dost protest too much! A bit obsessed of what gay people do in private aren't we Bryan!

Bryan Fischer Says Michael Sam Has a Bomb Under the Floorboards Of His Life:

Bryan Fischer Focal Point
Hot on the tails of saying that Michael Sam needs therapy and comparing his orientation to aconcussion, Bryan Fischer's love affair with Michael Sam continues as he claims that Sam is just a bomb waiting to go off, saying,
[L]iterally has got an improvised explosive device sitting under the floorboards of his life, and the NFL apparently doesn't care.
Ignoring the fact that Fischer doesn't understand the difference between "literally" and "figuratively", he goes on to cite the standard outdated junk health statistics from the 80s and 90s during the height of the AIDS epidemic to assert that Sam is going to shorten his life. If Fischer were really concerned about Sam's health and not just an opportunist troll latching onto the latest trending topic in gay news, he would be addressing the literal (not figurative) concussion rates among defensive ends in the NFL.

Bryan Fischer: Only property owners should be allowed to vote

As Kyle Mantyla at Right Wing Watch reported this week, the American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer told his audience that in the 18th century, only property owners were allowed to vote – and according to Fischer, that’s still a sensible policy for a democracy. For those who can’t watch clips online, here’s the argument:
“You know back in the day, the colonial period, you had to be a landowner, a property owner, to be eligible to vote – and I don’t think that’s a bad idea. And the reason is very simple: if somebody owns property in a community, they’re vested in the community. If they’re renters, they’re going to be up and gone. They could leave the next day. They have no tie to the community; they’ve got no long-term investment in the community.

Brian Brown And Scott Lively Back In Russia To Stir Up Anti-Gay Sentiment

Brian Brown
So strong is NOM President Brian Brown's hatred of homosexuals that even the threat of felony litigation for violation of the Logan Act is not enough to keep him from spreading anti-gay animus in Russia. This time along with Scott Lively, the American missionary bigot behind Uganda's "Kill the Gays" bill who is scheduled to stand trial for crimes against humanity, Brown took a return trip to Moscow this past week for reasons unspecified, but were most likely to attend the planning meeting of the World Congress of Families.

The World Congress of Families is an anti-gay group that has been a supporter of Russia's anti-gay laws and contains the usual list of right-wing loony bigots among their sponsors, including Bryan Fischer's American Family Association, Peter LaBarbera's Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, Concerned Women of America, and Tony Perkins' Family Research Council. Birds of a feather, and all that.

Of course it is entirely possible that Bryan Brown went to Moscow for completely different reasons utterly unrelated to the planning meeting or Russia's anti-gay laws. It's also entirely possible that President Putin is a closet drag queen who is taking extreme measures to ensure that she reigns supreme. And equally as likely.

Bryan Fischer: 'Homosexual Mafia', Obama are Purging America of Jesus Christ

Bryan
Following the recent closure of an Oregon bakery that previously refused to sell a wedding cake to a lesbian couple and an Air Force officer allegedly being punished by his lesbian superior for objecting to gay marriage, American Family Association spokesperson Bryan Fischer took the opportunity to decry both incidents as examples of anti-Christian hate endemic in Obama's America. Right Wing Watch reports:

“This is happening everywhere,” Fischer argued. “That bakery couple in Oregon had their bakery completely shut down by a homosexual mob, a homosexual mafia; they cried ‘Homo-Akbar!’ and assaulted, stormed metaphorically, the bakery and got it completely shut down.”
Later in the segment, the Focal Point host maintained that President Obama “has made it a criminal offense to be a sincerely devoted follower of Jesus Christ in the United States Military” and accused Obama of “leading this purge of Christians from the military. This is ethnic cleansing, this is spiritual cleansing.”

AFA's Brian Fischer: Mormons ok with gays in BSA because they want polygamy!

Mormon_fischer
Even though he has "no evidence that this is the case," American Family Association radio host Bryan Fischer has figured out why the Mormon church ended up supporting the 'Boy Sodomizers of America' decision to lift the ban on gay scouts, Right Wing Watch reports, and it fits neatly into the longtime right-wing talking points that gay marriage will lead to polygamy.

Says Fischer:

"The LDS leadership, these people are smart, they're sharp, they're thinking all the time and I believe one of the reasons they may have gone soft on the homosexual agenda is that they believe that the homosexual agenda may be the secret to restoring polygamy to America and this would vindicate Mormon doctrine from the very beginning."
